The Uwell Caliburn G5 Koko Pod Kit is a compact pod system from the Caliburn series, combining the handy Koko format with the current GPP Series pod platform. The Caliburn G5 Koko has a deliberately compact format. With dimensions of 84.8 x 49.1 x 21.8mm and a weight of around 66.2g, it is easy to carry. The built-in lanyard hole also makes it practical for users who want to keep their vape pod system quickly accessible on the go.

Inside, the device uses an integrated 1600mAh battery. The battery capacity is generous for a compact pod system and works well with the device’s automatic output control. The Caliburn G5 Koko works with automatic draw activation. This means no fire button is needed for vaping. The button gives direct access to the main settings. Pressing once displays the user interface. Pressing twice switches between Storm and Waves. Pressing three times opens the output adjustment. The output is based on the inserted GPP Series replacement pod and can be adjusted within suitable ranges. For compatible GPP Series cartridges, Uwell lists the following power ranges: 0.4 Ohm: 19–35 watts, 0.6 Ohm: 13–25 watts, 0.9 Ohm: 9–15 watts and 1.2 Ohm: 6–11 watts. This allows the device to be tuned for more open RDL as well as calmer MTL use.

The package includes one GPP Series 0.6 Ohm replacement pod with integrated mesh coil. This cartridge has a 3ml capacity and uses side filling. According to the manufacturer, the 0.6 Ohm replacement pod works in the range of 13–25 watts and is suitable for a balanced draw between open MTL and RDL.

The GPP Series replacement pods have an integrated coil. This means the individual coil is not replaced separately; instead, the complete replacement pod is changed when flavour, vapour output or draw behaviour noticeably decreases. This keeps handling simple and reduces maintenance in everyday use.

One of the key advantages of the Caliburn G5 Koko is its dual adjustable airflow. The airflow can be influenced by the orientation of the cartridge and also by the side airflow control on the device. This allows the draw to be adjusted from tighter MTL to more open RDL depending on pod, e-liquid and personal preference.

Pro-FOCS 4.0 technology is designed for clear and consistent flavour presentation. In combination with the mesh pods of the GPP Series, it creates a modern pod setup that is especially suitable for compact devices with controlled output. Depending on resistance, classic 50/50 e-liquids, nicotine salt e-liquids or suitably matched VG/PG blends can be used.

Filling the replacement pod is straightforward. Remove the pod from the device, open the side filling port and fill it with suitable e-liquid. Then close the filling port carefully and reinsert the replacement pod. When using a new or freshly filled replacement pod, allow the e-liquid to soak in for about 10 minutes before first use so the wick is fully saturated.

The cartridge should be refilled in good time once the liquid level drops below the marking. Using the pod with too little e-liquid may damage the integrated coil and can lead to a dry taste. The actual lifetime of a replacement pod depends strongly on the e-liquid used, sweetness of the liquid, wattage, draw style and intensity of use.

The Uwell Caliburn G5 Koko is compatible with GPP Series replacement pods. This platform is used across the Caliburn G3, G4 and G5 series and offers different resistances for different draw styles. This keeps the device flexible if a tighter MTL draw or a more open RDL feel is desired later on.
