Vape gurgling – what to do?
Vape gurgling – what to do?
If your vape is gurgling or spitting liquid, it usually means the coil or pod is flooded – there is too much e-liquid inside the system.
This can be caused by incorrect draw technique, too much e-liquid or an unsuitable e-liquid ratio.
Possible causes
- drawing too hard or too often
- too much e-liquid in the pod or tank
- e-liquid that is too thin (high PG content)
- temperature changes (e.g. in a car)
- pressure changes (altitude)
- incorrect draw technique (similar to using a straw)
Quick solution
- turn the device upside down and fire for 2–3 seconds (without drawing)
- wait briefly and repeat if needed
- remove the pod and clean it externally
- carefully clean the pod connection with a cotton swab
Important: Do not draw without firing – this can make the problem worse by pulling more e-liquid into the coil.
Note: Always follow your device’s manual when cleaning and handling electrical components.
This quick tip mainly applies to flooded pods or coils. If you're unsure or the issue continues, a proper check may be helpful.
